Planet Hollywood Captain Crunch Chicken

"This is great and a real kid pleaser. The creole mustard sauce sets off the sweetness of the chicken just right. DH saw a demonstration of the recipe on an early morning show and searched the recipe out for me."

  1. We are making this today for dinner. So glad I googled and found your recipe. A restaurant by me serves chicken crunch salad, sandwich and jumbo shrimp. The shrimp is served with orange marmalade for dipping. Delicious !

  2. My family loved these paired with homemade waffles. Will be a regular at my table. ??

  3. I liked this a lot! The breading was sweet and crunchy! As far as the meat itself, even with extra spices in the flour, the chicken was moist but a bit on the bland side. I did make a sweet honey mustard dip to compliment the crunchy sweetness of the tenders & this seemed to give the meat the punch it needed to spruce up the taste. I couldn't make the Creole dip since I was lacking a few ingredients but the hm ended up going with the meat fine...I would definitely make this again :) Only took away 1 star because the meat was bland & needed something extra, otherwise this recipe is a keeper ;)

Tweaks

  1. Tried substituting 1/2 of the corn flakes with frosted corn flakes. I thought it tasted closer to the original Cap’N Crunch Chicken Fingers I had.
