    About Me

I live in small town of Hamilton, AL, about 100 miles northwest of Birmingham and 45 miles due east of Tupelo, MS. My husband and I have one four year old son and I have a five year old brother (my parents adopted last year). We both love to cook and try new recipes so I was thrilled to find this site. We are both 911 dispatchers and are blessed with a full kitchen at work. This is great when you live in a small town because there are very few lunch choices other than fast food burgers. I love growing fresh vegetables in my garden. My husband and I enjoy making different kinds of pickles and cooking with fresh herbs.

    Favorite Foods

I don't exactly have a favorite dish to cook but I have a passion for sweets (the richer the better).
If I were famous for making anything in my family it would probably be my homemade chicken noodle soup.
My favorite restaurant is a small restaurant in town owned by a church. The ladies of the church cook the food and the proceeds go to the church. These ladies don't know the meaning of the words "canned" or "frozen". Everything they have (meats, vegetables, desserts, etc.) is homemade and delicious. When we don't cook at work for lunch we eat there.
