    "Melt a couple of table spoons of bacon grease in the skillet when preheating, then swoosh it around in the skillet before pouring in the cornbread to bake. Gives it the authentic southern touch."

    "Excellent recipe. I have always used a cast iron skillet to make my cornbread. Instead of olive oil or canola for the skillet I preheat the skillet in the oven with at least a tablespoon or two of good ole bacon grease! Yummy."

    "YUUUUUUMMMMMMM! With just a bowl and spoon this turned out great! I make it every Saturday morning and by 1PM at least two loaves are gone.
