     |  By Sanut Tarrer

"I am visiting my parents and needed something relatively quick and easy and vegan to make for my son for breakfast, with what they have on hand (ie, no fancy ingredients. I also halved the recipe. Wow, I will make these again and again. We drained the pineapple very well, used oil (1/4 cup, I couldn't imagine the full 1/2 cup working instead ..."

"Seems that I'm the only one, but I thought this was just okay. The cooking time was fine for me, but I used red lentils, which cook faster than brown. My main issue with this was that the amount of spices added made it very grainy, and at the same time, I did not find it to be as flavorful as the previous reviewers. But perhaps this was my faul..."

"As far as I can tell I followed the instructions to the letter (even used the 6 oz instead of the 8 as some did, and I did not get fudge. I agree with those who said it is like cream cheese frosting...but not even good cream cheese frosting. It is way way too sweet, and I did not get a fudge texture at all. It can be cut, but boy can you taste..."

"As I'm sure many others did, I made these as gifts for Christmas this past year.

I agreed with the reviewer who doubled the spices. I'm not quite sure if I doubled it, but I added about the same ratio until I was happy with it. I also let it set in the fridge overnight and the consistency was perfect for rolling and dipping.

"I had to give this 4 stars because it got mixed reviews from my family also. First, I should mention that I overcooked them so they were kind of crunchy on the outside (put the oven on "keep warm", but it stayed at 300 for over 10 minutes, ugh. My 15 year old brother LOVED them and would have eaten the whole pan. My mom also really liked them...."
