"Nice base for adding favors. I used half and half as I was out of milk. I added mushrooms, garlic, spinach, basil and cherry tomatoes. I served this over penne with sliced grilled chickens and a shrimp kabob per person. Everybody liked it and it was done in no time."

"I "kind of" felt bad by opening up so many cans/packages and claiming I "cooked" dinner. BUT....I make a big pot of soup every Sunday and DH and I eat it for lunches all week. This soup was amazing. The night I cooked it I had to include it in my dinner menu because both my husband and my very picky 16 yo son wanted to eat it immediately. All I did..."

I am a wife to an adorable husband, a mom to one 13 year old son, and vice principal to 900 lovely teenagers. In my spare time I create original jewelry, stained glass, finish home improvement projects AND cook! After a hard day at work I love to come home, create a wonderful meal and sit down with my family to share our day. Cooking is my way of taking a step back to remember the simple things. It's all about combinations...combinations of flavors and textures. Somewhat like life only on a much smaller scale. My highlight of the day is sitting down over a delightful, interesting meal and playing..."What was the worst part about your day? What was the best part?" It's reconnecting and it's sharing life with the ones I love. The fact that it is done over food makes the food a special part of the process. Sit down, linger, enjoy and learn. How many memories do you have that center around the kitchen table or a great meal? A lot I bet! That's what it's all about. Now and forever.

    Favorite Foods

Favorite foods....too complex. Depends upon the mood, the desire and the ingredients on hand. The healthy eater in me loves anything from the ocean or a wonderfully creative salad with surprising combinations that I would have never thought of. I haven't explored enough of the world's flavor combinations to have
