They didn't need as much time and are thinner but still sooooo gooood. I iced mine with homemade ganache (whipping..."

"I tried this one today. I didn't have a serrano because it's just too hot of a pepper but used a jalpeno. This was not good and no one liked it. I tried again using lemon juice, a little more salt, pepper, no cilantro and 2 tsp of garlic and it was much much better. "Although this is not the original Gooey butter cake recipe it is good and quick. For those who don't like very sweet confections this is NOT for you. It is SUPPOSED to be very sweet to balance out the bitterness of the coffee that it is usually served with it. I am from St. Louis and have made this version several times. Very good."

"I first made this last Christmas but lost the recipe. I am so glad to find it here!! This is one of the best recipes for baked French toast. We used French bread cubes instead of the slices and added cinnamon and nutmeg to both mixes. YUM!!! We never have any leftovers. Very easy and fast."

"This came out just fine. We substituted dark chocolate chips for the milk chocolate which made it very rich and much faster than chopping the chocolate. Thanks!"
