    Reviewed Famous Challah

"This recipe was ok, but it turned out a little too brown, and the little "mini-challahs" on top ended up too dry and too hard -- I fed this fresh-baked challah to my boyfriend and he actually threw out the piece he got from the mini-challah. I have never encountered anyone throwing out fresh-baked bread -- it shouldn't be physically possible withou..."

    Reviewed Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

    About Me

Hi! I'm Aisha! I love to cook and bake. I'm currently in Phase I of the South beach diet and I am enjoying the Phase I recipes on this site!

    Favorite Foods

Hummus, homemade pita and Turkish naan, Bedouin food, pesto pizza, masoor tamatar dal, strawberry-rhubarb pie, greasy juicy hamburgers, fresh mangos.

I love making hummus, and I'm really good at it. Store-bought hummus is a tragedy. Some people seem to think hummus is just for health-nerds and Arabs, but I think that's a bunch of bunk. I am neither a health nut nor am I Arab, and I am the hummus queen, so :P

My favorite restaurant was an authentic Japanese place in my city, but it recently closed. Authentic Japanese food doesn't taste good to most Americans, and that's why most Japanese restaurants here have modified Japanese food (if you don't believe me, ask a Japanese person what they think of our Japanese restaurants...heh).
