I live just outside of Charleston, SC with my husband and our 5 furry children (two cats, three dogs). I love to cook and bake. It's a stress reliever for me. My mother doesn't cook much anymore, but she has a HUGE cookbook collection. I am trying to start my own, but her collection is always fun to explore.
I have found so many wonderful recipes here on the Zaar. I usually cook 6 nights a week (Fridays we go out) and I also eat lunch here at home, so I am always looking for new ideas and things to try. Now that I am married, I am also entertaining a lot more. I like to have at least one new dish a week on our table.
I love almost all food. My husband isn't a vegetable eater, so I tend to make lots of comfort food, with veggies on the side for me. We are definitely on a budget, so it's great to find yummy ways to use cheap ingredients.
