Reviewed Marilyn's Mac and Cheese With Tomatoes
    Handle
     |  By Kumquat the Cat's friend

"Nice easy recipe, but distinct from usual mac and cheese recipes. Don't expect it to be exactly the same as those. Loved that it was easy and followed it faithfully except that I hate tinned tomatoes, so just halved fresh ones, squeezed out the juice and pips and then chopped them coarsely before adding them. Very tasty. Everyone enjoyed it. I..."

"Although this was quite different to my usual veggie chilli recipe and tasted very different too, it was delicious and I shall be making it again. I too was a little sceptical of the grated carrot idea but it really worked well.I halved the recipe but otherwise followed it faithfully.I notice one other reviewer mentioned adding ground turkey 'f..."

Reviewed Unknownchef86's Microwave Soft Vanilla Caramels
    Handle
     |  By UnknownChef86

"Oh dear, this went badly wrong for me! I wonder if it was the type of brown sugar I used. The granules were quite large and hard, and failed to dissolve. This made the caramels very granular and they didn't set properly. Not wanting to waste the ingredients I salvaged the recipe by gently melting the half set caramel in a saucepan with a littl..."

"I loved the idea of this, but I just can't stand goat cheese. Then I thought I would experiment with blue cheese crumbles and it worked very well, though I guess the taste of the final product was probably a little tangier than the original.I may try some other cheeses too, as overall its a very pleasant recipe."

"I loved this minus the ham, as suggested, because I am vegetarian, and the 2nd time omitted the tomatoes too (because I had forgotten to buy them, with no detriment to the overall taste of the dish.I intend to make this over and over again!I always use no cook lasagne sheets, and for this recipe used them straight from the pack and they worked ..."

"The origin of this recipe must surely be as old as the hills and is known in its native Wales (and the rest of the UK, as Welsh cakes, though they are really not quite cake and not quite cookie. The end result should really be more cake or pastry-like in texture, but flat like a cookie. It's reallyinteresting to find that this recipe has surviv..."

"Delicious. I have been looking for an edible 'meatball' for 15 years and this was well worth the wait. I know my vegetarian granddaughter is going to love them too, especially for school packed lunches. With regard to oversaltiness, this might be due to using seasoned Italian breadcrumbs AND onion soup mix. I happened to have no seasoned crumbs..."
