    About Me

I love to cook! Love baking, meals, snacks, whatever.

I don't get to do as much since I have a 3-year-old, though. Seems like we are always going and always behind! ;)

I have an old (1960) cookbook called The Art of Fine Baking. It tells you how to do all of these things from scratch! I know it's not really feasible these days with working, house, and family, but I do plan on doing something out of the cookbook at some point! Just to say that I did it!

I also love writing, music, creating things, scrapbooking, doing things with friends. Need to take more time out for myself to work on my creative side because that's what makes me the happiest!

    Favorite Foods

We are a pretty experimental family -- my hubby and I will pretty much try anything once! We love all kinds of food including Indian, Japanese/sushi, Mexican, Thai. We just took a trip to several countries in Europe, so now I'm also into the cuisine of the Dutch, Polish, and northern Italians (specifically Torino!).

Being from the Southern US, though, we still love home-cooking, though I try to make it a little more healthy than it has traditionally been cooked. I think too much grease spoils the food! My husband, however, disagrees and thinks that the more grease and salt, the better it is.... Trying to sway him toward the healthier side so that we can positively influence our daughter! :)
