"This is a very good recipe. If you buy head on shrimp, save the heads and shells. Heat oil in pan with garlic and saute the shrimp heads and shells until they are pink. Remove the shells. The liquor from the shrimp heads can be pressed out and added to the pan. Saute the pork, and add the vegetables just as you have described. I add the shri..."

Reviewed Chayote and Onions
"I grow chayote so I am always looking for different ways to use them. I slice my chayote thinner so they cook faster. I also like to add a clove or two of garlic and some diced tomato. I also like to add some dried shrimp at the start to boost the flavor. Thanks for posting this recipe"

Shared Recipe Kim Chi
"Korean style pickled cabbage. Some kind of kim chi is served with every Korean meal. It is also an ingredient in kim chi fried rice, soups, and it also goes surprisingly well replacing lettuce in tuna sandwiches"

Saved Recipe Bisquick Cornbread by Judy from Hawaii

I was lucky to be born in Hawaii and I work as an ICU nurse in Honolulu. I love gardening and I have the sagging bookshelf full of books to prove it. I also love to bake, but I'm not really a good cook unless I have a recipe. I also have over 200 cookbooks and the cabinet is full!
My most requested dishes are Pricilla's pumpkin roll, barbecue ribs, somen salad and the infamous teriyaki spam musubi are my most requested dishes. I am most famous though for 2 of my failures. Louisianna shrimp bake that smelled so bad and was so overcooked that even the cat ran away from it, and my very tasty lemon meringue pie. The only catch was you had to drink it.

"Chayote grows as a rambling vine. The tender tips and young leaves are edible and can be used in salads and stir fries."
