Reviewed Better Than Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce
"This is a good recipe, and following it to exact, I can see that the mozzarella addition was grand, however, made it kinda gloppy. I had to keep it very warm and serve it right away so the cheesy factor (stringy) didn;t mess with the dish. **(I might add no cheese or much less next time.) Thanks for posting delish dish!"

Reviewed Quick Pickles
"I love pickles, and they love me! I followed this perfectly and exactly, the only little add was a bit of sweet onion slices to marinate right along with these delicious, succulent, bites of love. Crunchy, and so pleasant tasting, I ate the first batch, without waiting for the chill to come. Made these again for later tonite! All this greatness on ..."

Welcome!!

I live on, and own "The Longmeadow Farm" in a small rural town in northwest Maryland. I was brought up with farming in my veins, and today have gone back to it full time ~ after being a nurse, a management analyst, a mother, and a sundry of other job fullfillments throughout my lifetime.

What would you like to know about me? I would give you or anyone the shirt off my back, and take great pleasure in giving back to those less fortunate then myself. As with most people, my family, friends, and animals are at the foremost front of my life, and I truly am driven by all the blessings in my life. Things are not always easy, but I strive to find the silver-lining in all aspects of living, as I know it is there, if only I would take the time to look.
I know each of my cattle by number, by looks, and by how they behave around me. Some are very shy, but will always come up for a scratch by their ears, and some would run you over just to be next to you. Many come running by name to grab some fresh corn out of my opened hand, or get a fist-full of green pasture grass. I love each of them, although I confess to favorites, such as "Daisy-Mae", "Stan", "Thumbalina - The Bull", "Big Betsy", and "Flossie".
My recipes most often include some kind of story about the farm or centered around a farm meal. Food is high on the list of priorities here, since we grow such many different types. Fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts, and potatoes and we can be almost fully stocked for the winter.
I adore the community of Recipezaar [now food.com]. Quite often, this is my fun outlet, and have been so happy to have so many wonderful friends on this site.
And lastly, though should be firstly, I have not been getting review notifications as often as I used to. I want you to know how much I am deeply honored, and very touched by you taking the time to prepare and serve a recipe of mine. I hope it brought happiness, and a memory of those gathered around your food table that will keep you're heart warm forever. I thank you beyond what glory my heart can show..
Very, very, hot, spicy foods. Especially hot habaneros, serrano peppers, and scotch bonnets. Yea haw!
