    About Me

    I grew up around southern cooking, but never learned how to cook it. As a result I ate a lot of tv dinners until I finally moved onto one-dish meals. People joked that I was the one-dish wonder. 

    Then, I progressed to Korean food. My mother-in-law was Korean, and I wanted to pass her wonderful recipes onto my daughter, so I began asking a lot of questions about her cooking. I learned to make a good number of Korean dishes, many came from this site. I usually consulted with her just to make sure they were close to authentic. 

    Recently, I have discovered that I love making copycat recipes from the restaurants that I love. With a family of five, it's hard to find food that everyone can agree on. I enjoy cooking new recipes, but even more so... I love watching my family enjoy my cooking.
