    About Me

    I am a retired teacher. I enjoy collecting, reading, and cooking recipes. My sources include the internet, and vintage cookbooks. I nearly always buy cookbooks when I travel somewhere new. I have even bought cookbooks in different languages. You'd be surprised how universal cooking language is. They're not that hard to decifer. I've even swapped recipes with cooks that didn't speak any English. A good cook enjoys sharing recipes in any culture!

    Did I mention that I enjoy striking up a good conversation almost anywhere at anytime?? It's paid off in more ways than you can imagine!!!

    Favorite Foods

    I enjoy most anything as long as it is prepared well. I like to try new things, and enjoy sampling local favorite dishes that are unfamiliar to me when I travel. My favorite restaurants are "mom and pop" places. I don't have anything against the chains, but do find that I grow tired of their "sameness" after a while.
