    About Me

I have recently found a hidden passion for cooking. I've always known my way around the kitchen because that's the way my mom raised my brother and I but it was always her kitchen. I loved helping her out but she always liked being in control of what was happening... I was her sidekick! Now that I live on my own I love cooking up all sorts of dishes for any time of the day! My boyfriend was never spoiled with food (ie Kraft dinner and cut up wieners... blech). Seeing the expression on his face every time I cook up something new fills me with so much joy! I would love to post recipes but ideas seem to pop into my head and I cook without measuring and more than half the time I forget what I have done. I hope to take some cooking classes in the future and see where that takes me!

    Favorite Foods

I love it all! I seem to lean towards Thai cooking a lot of the time, however. I really love red curry coconut soup. There is this great Thai restaurant that is very close to our apartment and I could die for their soup and deep fried wontons!

I seem to lean towards foods made with some sort of nut (I suppose that's the Thai food thought process again). Peanuts in dishes are my weakness... So good!

Fusion food really sparks my interest as well. There is another restaurant very close to me (extremely expensive but worth it) and they experiment with all sorts of flavours and dishes. I experienced my first taste of chilli chocolate chicken and I was hooked. I asked the owner for his recipe and he told me it was a chefs secret! One day I will get it out of him and I'll be sure I post it online because everyone should be able to taste something so delicious :).
