My name is Wendy, and I'm married with one child, a daughter, named Emma. I love to cook for my husband and my daughter. My daughter is almost three and can sometimes be hard to cook for, but when I find something she loves it makes my year. I love to make their taste buds light up. Being from Birmingham, Alabama, it can sometimes be hard to find recipes and ingredients that aren't "southern foods". So as a stay at home mom, it's hard to break away from stereotypes. So I found this cook book by Mark Bittman called How to Cook Anything and it has been a life saver. My pet peeve is a market that only carries the basic ingredients. I don't even go in to one that doesn't have a great balsamic vinegar.
My absolute favorite dish is seared pork tenderloin with a white wine and balsamic vinegar glaze. That is pretty much my signature dish. Because I tend to cook exoticly at home, we tend to like to go to a little restaurant that we're famous for here in Alabama. It's called Bob Baumhower's Wings. They have the best buffalo wings ever. They are actually award winning.
