    About Me

Born and raised in Texas, lived in Louisiana for 18 years, and now in Alabama. I guess I'm a southerner. I have three children, one out on her own, one in college and one at home. My husband of 23 years is Hispanic so we enjoy dishes with a Latin flavor. It's becoming an adjustment cooking for only three now, but it will get better with time, I'm sure. My husband also has a lot of food intolerances, so I get creative sometimes. I've been cooking since I was 3, making my own scrambled eggs, and flipping pancakes. And nothing makes me happier than for my 15 year old to say, "That was good, Mom." I've been playing around with making whole grain breads so I can control what goes in them. Hardly ever use mixes but will, if I have to, use a can of "cream of" soup. I enjoy reading, Food Network, and sudoku.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods are Italian and Mex-Tex, but am open to just about anything. I like to cook ethnic dishes, but it's hard pleasing two picky eaters, one because of stomach problems and one who avoids vegetables!
