New Topic quick and healthy meals in Diabetic Cooking

"I would like some help with quick and healthy recipes my family will eat. One of the problems is my wife and daughter do not like mushrooms, peppers, onions. I can chop the last two up really fine though but no mushrooms of any kind."

    About Me

My real name is Brian and I am from Cleveland Ohio. If I was to say that I made poor health choices in the past I would be way understating the issue. Until recently I was a 2 and a half pack a day smoker. I weight 380 pounds. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was in a car accident two years ago which basically crushed my right side. I have severe arthritis in my spine and neck.I am also a diabetic. As of the new year I have stopped smoking in the house. I am now down to about 1 pack a day and dropping fast. I am married to a wonderful woman I do not deserve. I havea 20 year old daughter as well.

That being said I need help and advice...I do not want to die in a couple years...I am willing to work through the pain if it means getting me healthier. I think walking with a cane is inevitable but I want to a skinny healthy cane walker instead of a 600 pound guy who can no longer move. That guy will die very soon...Please hellp with any advice you may want to share....eating healthy is a good start:)

    thanks.....The BEAR
