    About Me

    I am a veteran educator and just love living in southern Arizona! My husband and I are part of a family full of foodies and my grandfather was a well-known chef on the eastern seaboard back in the old days.

    My favorite cookbook is The New All-American Cookbook that my grandmother - who was also a fabulous cook - left me when she passed away. It was printed in the 40's and literally tells you how to boil water and prepare the meats(including squirrel!)that your husband brings home from hunting! However, it has every single recipe I have ever wanted to make and I refer to it weekly.

    We have 4 great kids and two gorgeous dogs - a minature pinscher and a red queensland heeler.

    Favorite Foods

    My favorite foods are almost always seafood. My favorite meals are for guests. I am making a stuffed pork chop recipe for my in-laws tomorrow night. I love to see people really enjoy food and I love the conversation and laughter that follow when you plan a nice meal well.

    The thing that I get the most requests for are the items I take to potlucks. I take my boston baked beans, crab appetizers, buffalo chicken dip, meatballs in a sweet sauce, etc. But the number one thing everyone asks me to make is my pecan tarts. My sister gave me her recipe years ago and I began making them every holiday. They have become a staple - my kids don't feel like it's the Holiday Season without the tarts.

    Italian - Pasta Brioni - check out the waiters!
    Seafood - The Old Salt in Hampton, NH
    - The Salt Cellar, Scottsdale, AZ
