    Reviewed Peach Cobbler

"I loved the flavor and the texture. It did take the full 45 minutes in my gas oven. After 35 minutes it still wasn't done, underneath was still runny even though the top and sides were very brown. My peaches were not firm and super soggy."

Reviewed Bow Ties Alfredo With Ham and Peas (Or Broccoli)

"This recipe was 4 stars but the ALFREDO was Spectacular. It is thick so be sure to reserve the water from the pasta, I forgot to as soon as I poured it into my strainer.
This dish is versatile. The peas were perfect but you could sub asparagus, chicken, and possibly fire roasted tomatoes or peppers. Too many options."

    About Me

I am a true southerner. I live in Mobile, Alabama, we have the Gulf of Mexico on our front porch (I don't literally). The Gulf offers the most wonderful tasting oysters and shrimp. They are naturally salty, and the blue crabs are sweet/buttery tasting.
I am married to a handsome and very intelligent man for 20 years now and we have 3 children, Lauren 20, Tres 17, & Katie 8.
I quit smoking 14 months ago {11th time to quit} now I seem to have a bit more time for me. For those of you who want to quit please ask your doctor about Chantix, I only used it for 2 months and I just knew my smoking days were over, AMAZING!
I belong to a Mardi Gras organization, Ladies and Lord's of LeMoyne, which supports charities (the first of it's kind).
I am taking adult dance classes and love it. Yea me! It keeps me young but I just don't move the way I use to....hmmmm???? Not liking that at all!
Since quitting smoking I adore looking at recipes(and cooking). I've printed so many that I am about to complete my 3rd three-ring binder.
My true passion (other then the hub) is music, I absolutely adore music. I cannot imagine a day without music.

    Favorite Foods

I'm a filet mignon kind-of-gal. I do favor Italian and Mexican cooking. Sushi...hmmm..
I do love to cook appetizers and desserts, I guess I'm a born hostess. I don't know what food I'm known for but I am requested to make Red Beans and Rice as well as Potato Salad, oh and Chicken Sketti.
We Love jambalaya and gumbo in these parts, and gumbo's a bit like what chili is for Texas. I am quite proud of my Jambalaya, however, I refuse to put chicken in it or gumbo, I just don't care for the texture.
I have quite a bit of old back bay Biloxi french in my blood but it was my MIL who taught me to make gumbo like they make in the Quarter, French Quarter that is, and it is spectacular. She likes picked out crab meat, and I prefer using whole crabs, less the top shell and dead man's fingers, of course.
I've had the pleasure of going to many restaurants all around our fine country but my very favorite is Ruth's Chris here in Mobile. I have always had a nice experience there and the service is superb. I love all the wonderful foods there, especially the Seared Ahi Tuna- it will melt in your mouth and send your taste buds into heaven.
