    About Me

In March, 2009, I made the decision to be a SAHM for a while.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with a concentration in child/family psychology. I currently work with at risk children and their families to help them attain a positive family unit, self worth and a general sense of self reliance in order to build a cohesive family unit.

I love to cook and experimenting with spices and spice blends is a favorite hobby of mine. I love the total food experience- aromas, flavors, colors and textures. I try to eat as healthy as I can without sacrificing the things that I love. I have found that even small adjustments make a big difference.

I enjoy taking part in community events and helping those that are less fortunate. I believe in the concept of "what is mine is yours" and I try to live my life by that thinking.

I love to have fun and joke around. I think I have a great sense of humor and believe that laughter is truly the best medicine. I care about my fellow man and feel a deep compassion for those who are in distress.

I cannot stand drama and have no room in my life for it. I detest trouble makers and pot stirrers. If you think that you are either of those, please stay on your own side of the forums. I say it like it is and I take it like it's meant. But, I'm never mean spirited and I never set out to harm or alienate anyone. Tact goes a long way in this life and it is too short for the 'dramateria' that some cause or allow into their lives.

My outlook on nasty people is this; if you are bored- go find something constructive to do. If you are lonely or unhappy- visit your local ASPCA and adopt a loving animal that needs you just as badly.

    Favorite Foods

The list of foods that I do not like is a great deal shorter, but definitely less interesting.

At the moment I am on a Mexican cuisine kick. The combination's of flavors and ingredients make for a wonderful and fulfilling meal.

I love comfort food, but I cannot take the heaviness of a lot of it. I have learned to still enjoy it without all of the fat and cream and oil.
