    About Me

    I am a 30-something Wife & Mom of 3 kids whom I have home schooled for the past 9 years. We have 10 pets covering almost every class in the Animal Kingdom.
    That's the "Busy" part in my name! I should have also put CRAZY!

    I am always looking for healthy, frugal meals that are quick to put together to feed my family.

    Favorite Foods

    One thing you'll notice about me: I like just about anything & everything. I will never be accused of being a picky eater. I am only picky if it uses inferior ingredients, particularly excessively processed ones. I will not use boxed potatoes, stuffing or noodles & other adulterated, over-priced foods. No offense intended to anyone who does.

    Though not a food, I LOVE, and can live off of COFFEE, particularly Cafe Mochas. I have learned to make them on my Saeco espresso machine my hubby got me for Christmas one year. I suspect it was to cut down on the amount of $ I was handing over to the coffee shop. ;-) Now I like mine better, and can make them without sugar using higher quality cocoa & splenda.

    I LOVE cheese, & although I cook with and enjoy chicken a lot because it is healthy, I am a beef girl. I could eat steak everyday. I also love potatoes, especially with cheese! :-)

    I am a fan of comfort food, especially southern food: my mother's fried chicken, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, and yes, chicken livers. What can I say, I'm a southern girl!

    However, I have been very lucky to live & travel all over the world because of my husband's work, and also truly enjoy ethnic food. After a stint in Japan, we keep Japanese Curry, Yakisoba & Gyoza in our own regular rotation at home. My new favorite is Ethiopian, but I also LOVE Indian food--my particular favorite is Mattar Paneer, which is funny because I love meat, and there is none in it, but it does have cheese! :-)
