Reviewed Bow Ties With Sausage, Tomato, and Cream

"I enjoyed this very much, though I had changed some of the ingredients to suite my taste. I used elbow pasta, canned whole plum tomatoes, chopped & added extra fresh parsley & basil. Plus we sprinkled Parmesan on top when it was done. I felt this was an easy recipe and would do this again. Thanks for posting ms_bold."

New Topic Looking for a Smoked Pork, Sauerkraut, Potato, Apple Recipe in Recipe Requests - General

"I'm looking for a recipe that has smoked pork chops (no subs), sauerkraut, potatoes, apples (granny smith, I believe), and caraway seed. I believe it also uses chicken broth. Thought it was in an old Betty Crocker book, but can't find it now. The cookbook that it came from had a beautiful picture of it in it. Thanks for looking."

    Reviewed Delicious Mesa Chicken Roll-Ups

"I'm giving this recipe a 5 star because I've never had this style of roll-up and was pleasantly surprised. The salsa with the BBQ sauce did not clash. I loved the avocado for a fresh taste as well. I don't think you really needed the sun-dried tomatoes, didn't taste them very much. But, all in all a very good change to a standard roll-up. Than..."

"This is my Tanté Enna's recipe. She made them every year when we would visit. So worth the trip. I was glad to be able to get this recipe & a couple others that I had enjoyed so much as a child."

Shared Recipe Garden Vegies Stuffed Bell Peppers

"I love garden bell peppers and when my sister told me about stuffing hers with vegetables I thought, what a great idea. She uses squash, but I changed it up to corn. It was a big hit at Thanksgiving."

    Reviewed Baked Beans With Bacon

"I wasn't impressed. I had thought that since these beans had pancetta & bacon that there would be some sort of kick to the flavor. There wasn't. The spices didn't compliment the flavor of the beans either. I was disappointed as was my BH. If you plan on making these nonetheless, leave out the ginger, add more molasses."

    About Me

My Mom didn't like more than one cook in the kitchen so I learned to cook after I lived on my own. I basically taught myself. I never liked the "same old stuff" so I had started to experiment with recipes. I found loads of recipes to play with through my days, even before the internet (grin). 6.5 years ago I met a man who loves to cook as much as me. We have been having loads of fun with the recipes that we find. Maybe someday we can publish a "if you want it, we have it" cookbook.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods are shrimp (anything), and anything unique and different. Oh yeah, MASHED POTATOES, I can sure tell you how many wonderful recipes I had found for these...WOW!! The best so far was done in a crockpot (would you believe??).
