    Reviewed Honey White Bread
     |  (9 people found this helpful) |  By Calicat

"Just took these 2 loaves out of the oven. The whole house smells wonderful. I could not wait until the loaves cooled off before I tried a slice. Bakers privilage, the first warm slice with butter!! Really, really good. We live at 4300 feet so I adjusted the flour by subsituting 1 cup of AP flour with bread flour. Seems to help the rise. Very ..."

    Handle
     |  By Kittencalskitchen

"I thought this was a really good and different salad. Only 4 stars because I did not make it strictly according to the directions. No black beans and I substituted pimentos for the green pepper. I also added almost 2x amount of lime juice. But overall a great saald to have with Mexican food instead of rice and beans."

"OMG Great sour dough rye flavor. I did not have any wheat flour so I just used white & rye. I let the rye & starter proof over night and still added the yeast. We are at 4000 ft elevation so I let the dough rise 3 times. I love this bread. I want to try in in a loaf pan for easier slicing for sandwiches. But the basic recipe is wonderful!..."

    Reviewed Jalapeno Jelly
    Handle
     |  By LonghornMama

"This was my first attempt at making jalapeno jelly. It turned out great. I used a mixture of red and green jalapenos and the no food coloring. The color, with the red and green flecks of pepper is delightful. I didn't want anything to spicy hot so I left out the seeds. Great in a gift basket with bagels and cream cheese. Followed the direction..."

"This sounded so strange that I just had to try it! We thought it was great. Pork loin roasts were on sale (and lots cheaper than the butt roast..go figure so I used that and cut the cooking time. I also used a whole pack of onion soup mix. I brought the leftovers to work for a Friday potluck lunch. I shredded the meat and we put it on sandw..."
