Reviewed Yummy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

"I have been searching for the perfect oatmeal chocolate chip cookie for a while now. I have tried many very good recipes--some were even exceptionally good. However, none have them has even come close to this recipe. I really think that the thing that makes this recipe so good is the fact that half the oats are ground in the food processor befo..."

    Reviewed Cornbread

"I have been meaning to review this cornbread for a long time and keep forgetting to do so. This has become my go-to recipe. It is sweet, but not so sweet that it feels out of place at dinner. Furthermore, this cornbread is dense without being dry as most dense cornbread tends to be. or a real treat, I whip up honey butter to serve with it. I h..."

"I made this with reduced fat sharp cheddar and skim milk and it still tasted very rich. We had it as an entree with a side salad and steamed green beans. I will definitely be making this again in the future."

Reviewed Utterly Deadly Southern Pecan Pie

"I made this for Thanksgiving and it turned out amazingly well. It reminded me of the awesome pecan pie I used to be able to get while living in Texas. It took 55 minutes in my oven."

    Reviewed Cranberry Apple Muffins

"These muffins were pretty good, Personally, I don't like muffins that come out of a plastic bag. They are certainly always moist, but it is a different moistness from that which is characteristic of a muffin recipe that yieldsa moist and tender mufin straight from the oven. Given this prerence, I chose to eat these from the oven. My husband and..."

    About Me

I'm too busy cooking to fill out this field. Check back soon.

    Favorite Foods

My list of favourite foods is way too long. I just adore Mexican food, sushi, big salads served with a piece of crusty Italian Bread or Focaccia, a good burger (meat or otherwise) served with swiss cheese and avocado, Korean BBQ, bagels, coffee, and desserts featuring either cinnamon or chocolate (or both) as the main flavour. While I will eat just about anything and like it, I still reserve the honour of "favourite cuisine" for the Italian food I grew up with. I will never say no to pasta in a good marinara sauce, pasta alla carbonara (made the REAL way without cream), cheese filled ravioli, lasagne, potato and onion pizza, cannoli, or a piece of my grandmother's tiramisu. I particularly enjoy the traditional Italian goodies which my grandmother brings out for the holidays such as her Easter Bread, which I've had to make on my own for the last few years since the last time I was home for Easter was about 6 or 7 years ago.
