"I tried this with an uncut 8lb bone-in leg shank ham. I couldn't find any pear juice so I bought a can of Pears in their own juice and just used the juice from there. Turned out very good but next time I am going to try it with the spiral cut ham to get more of the juice flavor on the ham. Thank you Dawn for a great ham recipe."

"I used one 1 liter bottle of ginger-ale for an 8 lb bone-in leg shank ham and marinated in the fridge for about 5 hours. "Didn't rate it 5 stars because I accidentally used Kraft Miracle Whip and only had Sweet Chili Sauce. I think a non sweet sauce definitely would have been better and will use it the next time I make it.Also had to thin it out with some water as it was quite thick.. Used this as a dipping sauce for grilled steak.."

"Great recipe. I too cut the sauce in half, except for the garlic, and it was a good amount for me. I added some mushrooms and also took it out about 15 minutes early. Served with rice and mixed veggies with garlic toast. I just may serve with a pasta next time. Thanks for sharing. "
