    About Me

I try to recycle as much as I can. Not enough people recycle. Put on your thinking caps and imagine an egg carton is now the place to start your seeds in, CD's are now wind spinners to scare away birds from your garden (trust me they work). A cap from detergent is now an ant moat for your humming bird feeder. A plastic liter bottle with the bottom cut off, small holes poked in the side, keep the cap on and place into ground upside down next to a plant now becomes a deep root waterer. Plastic bottles are  bad for the landfills but have a 101 uses for recycling. Almost anything and everything can be reused for something. I hope everyone thinks about recycling. Even if it's just one thing it's a start. I recently made a purse out of pop can pull tabs. I get more people inquiring  on how to make them, people just seem to think they are unique. I'm working on making purses, pins and bracelets for sale, hopefully I can pick up a little money.

I live with my fur babies who I spoil rotten and in return they give me unconditional love. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs,  I just adopted a 13 yr toy poodle. Both cats were adopted also. All of them are very affectionate and very well behaved. I have been so blessed to have these  beautiful animals in my life.

I love to cook and try out new recipes. I have tried so many great recipes from this site that my cookbook is growing by leaps and bounds. I liked to thank all the great cooks who took the time to post their recipes. Thank you a thousand times.

I do not enjoy winter but I love fall and Halloween is the day I love the most. I go all out on Halloween. I try to use recyclables in these crafts as much as I can. If you would like to see some of my Halloween things click on my website and click on the Halloween albums or if you'd like to see how some of them are made click on the Trash to Treasure album. The main part of the life size people are either made of pipe and plastic pop bottles or nylons and cotton batting. Tombstone are made from stryrofoam insulation sheets. Hands are made from old ink pens, wire hangers and then paper mached. Heads are paper mached.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods? Well I'm kinda fussy when it comes to taste. I do like seafood, pork, wild game, some chinese, a good hamburger and some casseroles. But I'm always willing to try something new if it's not too spicy or doesn't have certain herbs in it.
