    "Great recipe! I took another reviewers suggestion and went with 12 cups of tomato puree. I increased the garlic. I also used my hand blender to whip it smooth before canning. Thanks for a keeper!"

    "For as much fat as this recipe has in it, it should taste richer. The kids (3 and 1 both ate this with no problem. Dh and I thought it was just ok. I didn't top it with slivers of butter but sprayed it with spray butter. I also covered it with foil until the last 5 minutes."

    "This is a super tasty dessert. The only changes I made were to sub cloves for mace, reduce the butter to 1/4 and spray the spots the butter didn't hit with spray butter. What came out of the oven was a hot fruit compote topped with a crunchy cookies type crust. I will def make this again and possibly with peaches. Thanks"
