    Shared Recipe Navneet's Punjabi Onion Rice

    "My husband loves this rice. This is an "emergency rice" that is pretty quick to fold together if you have leftover cooked rice on hand. I made this for dinner tonight for my dad and hubby. Both loved it. Please have this with dahi (home-made curd/yoghurt) for enjoying it best. Serve pappadams (papads) with this for a nice snack. Enjoy!"

    About Me

    Hi Everybody! Thanks for stopping by in my little niche of the mighty Zaar world.
    Here is a quick link to the beauty recipes I've posted (highest rated so far):http://www.recipezaar.com/r/chef=6357/253/451/18/ls=h

    A few things I've done:-

    1. Worked part time as a Telemarketer in Oman in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

    2. Worked as a Certified Professional Tarotist (Tarot Card Reader) and done accurate predicitions for many people from different parts of the world, most memorable of which is the reading I did for my college Law lecturer and it came true.

    3. Written nearly 1000 poems several of which have been published in leading newspapers, ezines and magazines both in Oman and India.

    4. Worked as a Moderator on www.allpoetry.com - my BEST and FAVOURITE site on the internet.

    My other interests include: Numerology, Vaastu Shastra, Feng Shui, Face Reading, Reiki and Astrology! I am really very keen on getting well-versed with metaphysical sciences such as Astrology, I-Ching, Feng Shui, Runes, Enneagram, Kabbalah and many more.

    I love researching on the mythology of ancient Goddesses and then condensing my research into poems.

    In the mood to gift me something? Here's what I'd love - A Nissan 350Z {my dream car}

    Favorite Foods

    I am a vegetarian with a fondness for dark chocolates.

    My favourite restaurants in Orlando(where I visited from November 2003 to August 2004) were the Olive Garden Restaurant(love the salad there!), Bahamas Breeze, Fire House Subs(love the Veggie Delite Sub)- I can still hear them say, "Welcome to Firehouse!!"(Oh how I miss it!) and most of all, I enjoy Bill Wongs{An Eat All You Can Lunch Buffet/dinner buffet restaurant on International drive}and, ofcourse, Shamiana Indian Cuisine {the name means "Royal Banquet" in Hindi. The Chef, Mr. Subhash Satpal, is one of the dearest friends I made in the US and with whom I had the memorable honour of cooking in Shamiama and, he came home and cooked a lovely dinner for us once! I miss him DEARLY and pray for the best for him! I have enjoyed eating at Bill Wongs Famous Super Buffet CHINESE restaurant on International Drive. They have a FANTASTIC lunch buffet only for $8.50 on Saturday and Sunday and on other days it is for $7.50. The food is, TRUST ME, THE BEST I have eaten in USA in these 2 restaurants! Most of all, they have this awesome chocolate cake and strawberry-jelly cake in dessert in Bill Wongs which I adore{my waistline shows it}. YUM YUM YUM!:)) Also, I enjoy the Indian Rice Pudding(Kheer) at the Punjab Indian Restaurant on I-4 on Kirkman Road - it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

    Restaurants in Oman? I presently like Kamat in Ruwi. The last time I was there was on 30th Dec'05 and I ordered soup...and voila, before the next 2 minutes had gone by, my soup was served :-) Very impressive service and the food was too good!

    In Mumbai, I absoloutely love the "Vrindavan restaurant" and Mama Mia's.

    My most favourite book: The Chocolate and Coffee Bible - I'll never forget the guy who gifted this to me...If ever you come to this page, no matter where you go in life, always remember that I am somewhere deep in my heart, REALLY missing you for you were the most magical guy I ever met and it is unfortunate that our lives have something else planned for us, but still, I'll always always love you...
