    About Me

My two favorite things to do are cooking and writing. I know that this combination may look a little strange when compared side-by-side, but I decided to take a chance and major in Food Service Management with a minor in Creative Writing. I hope to one day become a food-editor for a magazine or website. My long term goal, however, is to travel the world and write a book on the historical background of cultural foods. (Who doesn't like to make learning fun?)

I was born and raised in one of the most multicultural centers of the country (NYC), so naturally I have been exposed to all sorts of cultural foods. And coming from an Irish-Italian / Chinese family, I have been around dozens of strange dishes from the very start. To me, food is not just something to nourish your body and keep you alive; it is a way of life.

    Favorite Foods

I'm a foodie! I'll eat almost almost anything that isn't wriggling, was once an insect, or mushrooms. But my favorite include family recipes including baked clams, fried calamari, and chicken with bok choy! (That's the best part of being multi-cultural) My must-haves, however, include any type of fruit (though I am partial to strawberries and pomegranates) and chocolate, my guilty pleasure in life.
