    About Me

I am an innkeeper.  I don't like to travel, love to have company, love to feed people (I think I'm a reincarnated Italian grandmother) and my husband doesn't want me to work outside the home.  So being an innkeeper is the perfect job for me.

For fun, I enjoy watching a good play by our local Vermillion Players or a high school play.  I also LOVE  my dogs, Koko, a 5 pound male Yorkie and Mitzi, my 7 pound female Yorkie.  Both were rescues and neutered.   I enjoy watching them.  Hunger mostly inspires me to cook, but compliments are really nice too!

I do websites for a few local non-profit groups which keeps me busy when the B&B is slow.

I recently finished a cookbook for my bed & breakfast.  It contains over 200 of my favorite recipes and ones that I use frequently.  If you want to buy a copy, just visit our website and click on "our cookbook" about halfway down the home page.  You won't find wierd recipes in this one.  A few recipes are a little bit complicated but call for every day ingredients available at most grocery stores.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods are foods that I can't eat.  Frown I'm on a gluten free, dairy free diet for fibromyalgia and it works!  I love being off drugs.  I think I am famous in my town for my cinnamon rolls.  I think I am most famous to my guests for my hash browns and eggs benedict.

My favorite dish to cook is my French Chicken.  I call it French because it's a recipe I adapted from one I got from a friend who happened to be French.  Everyone LOVES it!

It's hard to pick a favorite restaurant.  There are several in town that I like:  Cafe' Fontana, Bernardi's II, and the Pontiac Buffet.
