    About Me

I am a retired bookkeeper living in Council Grove, Ks. Born and raised in Great Bend, Ks till I was 40 and then moved to Denver, CO for a new job. I spent from 9/99 to 6/07 in Denver and then upon word of becoming a 1st time grandmother, I moved closer to my daughter and son in law in and my grand daughter Izzy in Wilsey, Ks.
For fun/passion it would have be the cookbook I have been writing/compiling since 2004. So I am printing the best of my collection in hope of putting them all on a web site, when I figure how to start a web site.
I am stubborn enough to conquer this cookbook problem. It is my only way to keep my hands mobile and loose enough after 3 carpal tunnel surgeries.
One of my passions (aside from my Izzy) would be my Silver Schnauzer Fritz.

    Favorite Foods

I have discovered my newest creations to be my new favorites. Teriyaki Chicken Breast Stir Fry and Pork Green Chili. Which I will submit soon. And in my family and friends, I am famous for both.

My favorite restaurant is really 2 different restaurants.
In Denver, CO my favorite would have to be Ruth Chris's in Downtown Denver just blocks from the 16th Street Mall. Their steaks are cooked to perfection and broiled in butter right before being served. The baked potatoes are large and wonderful. The prices are pricey but totally worth it.

In Great Bend, KS on the southwest side of town is the Classic Inn. Mostly Oriental food, but the steaks and fish dishes are awesome. If you by chance are there on certain nights, you might even get their special potato salad on the salad bar. They also have this noodle mix with this awesome sauce that goes over it that needs to be eaten in a bowl to savor all the sauce. And don't even think of asking for the sauce recipe( I have many of times)...It's only handed down generation to generation. The prices are great and the variety is excellent.
