    My Journal

    Reviewed Lemon Yogurt Cake

"A huge hit with my guests. Just lemony enough, and light while still a bit like pound cake, if that makes any sense. I know it has a huge amount of eggs per dessert, but the yellow lemon color and the texture make it all worth it. 400 reviews can't be wrong -- Thanks, Ina. I've added it to my favorite recipes on my blog at Chasing Shade. Keep up the good work.

Reviewed Asparagus, Pecorino and Red Onion Salad

"OMG! Winner! I knew when I saw Anne make it on TV that I HAd to make it soon ... so I waited three days and used the pencil asparagus in my fridge, along with Parmesan (sorry, the only thing I had) and half of the red onion. The only thing that makes me sad about this recipe is knowing that once I make it for friends, everyone will Need the recipe and it won't be "mine" for long! This is a Wow Food Moment. Thank You!

Reviewed Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese

"Fabuloso, and couldn't be easier! I laid a bed of arugula and baby spinach on a platter, then sprinkled some blue cheese, walnuts and dried cranberries over the greens. I then squeezed half a lemon and drizzled olive oil over that, and placed the roasted pears around the platter on top of the greens. Guests scooped up a pear with the greens for a Lovely salad. Will Definitely make again.
