"I made the lower fat version, substituting fat free cream cheese and 2% milk for the heavy cream. Also substituted penne for linguine. Everyone loved it and it will be made again. As is it was not too spicy for my 9 year old and the adults added some red pepper flakes to heat it up a bit."

"awesomely tasty and easy crockpot recipe. My family loved this one. I halved this recipe and got enough food for 6 hearty portions.
