Reviewed Whole-Wheat Spaghetti with Swiss Chard and Pecorino Cheese
     |  By Chef #1530080

"Very easy main dish. I cut the recipe down in half as there is only 2 of us and there was plenty. My store did not have the pecorino cheese but the deli manager said that asiago would work just fine and that is what I used. I probably would just use a pinch of the red pepper flakes next time. Otherwise, I will make it again. "

"I have made this recipe many, many times and everyone loves it. What I have done is to substitute honey for the sugar and used almond milk instead of regular milk. Both give the slaw a sweeter taste. I also put in small pieces of pineapple."

"This makes ALOT. I cut the recipe almost in half for two of us and I have tons of leftovers which is good because it is a wonderful recipe. The only thing I would change when I make it again is to cut larger cubes of the squash. They did get mashed up too much. I would make them larger and take about 15 minutes off the cooking time. Otherwise, the ..."

"Had only extra large eggs. I SHOULD have increased the coconut as I now have a mess on the bottom of my oven. Don't do what I did :-
The cookies were easy to make and very tasty though and I would make them again. "

"The pie turned out wonderful. I agree with another review that the prep took an easy 30 minutes. I was also nervous with the fennel and just used 1 small head. I could not find mushroom broth but just used vegetable broth. I made it basically like it was, but next time I think I would add fresh garlic and perhaps broccoli. This is really worth ..."

"I wish I would have taken the time to really read the recipe about the self-rising flour, plus I usually read the reviews first...and I didn't. My cobbler is in the oven....50 min now and I cannot tell how it is going to turn out...but, it does smell wonderful, but I know it will be a mess. Oh well, I hope others read the recipe better than me.. ..."

"I thought this was a very good recipe with great flavors. I did not have any scaillons so I used yellow onions although next time I would use scaillons. I added garlic and shredded carrots and reduced the fresh ginger to 1/2 tablespoon. I think this would be excellent with chicken also....in fact, probably better! I think adding broccoli and/or ..."

"This was amazing. Fairly easy to make and the taste was wonderful. I would, in the future, decrease the vanilla extract a little. It seemed to be a little overpowering...would make again. "
