"I've made this thrice in the past week and we've loved it every single time! I do use less sugar, because the first time I made it my husband said it was too sweet. I add feta cheese and chopped walnuts on top. Great summer salad!"

    LinMarie says:

"This was very quick and easy to make! I used 2 bananas and added 1 tbsp flax seeds to make it a tad healthier. Sprinkled some chopped walnuts on top and baked for 18 minutes. The muffins were not sweet at all, which I don't usually mind, but I will probably use 1/3 cup of sugar next time just to add a little bit more sweetness."

    LinMarie says:

"I've made this bread 3 times now, and I just realized I've never reviewed it. This is a very simple recipe to follow, and with a few tweaking to suit our own tastes, I've found that it's our favorite recipe for banana bread! I only use 1/2 cup sugar, then add 1/2 cup choco chips, 1/3 cup milk, and 1 tsp vanilla, plus a dash of cinammon. I do put i..."

    LinMarie says:

"This was yummy! I served this for brunch with my son's playgroup, and everyone loved it! Even my husband couldn't resist grabbing a piece on his way to work. I did make a few changes: I only used 1 package of cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar in the filling, spread some strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese, and added some fresh strawberries (sin..."

    LinMarie says:

"Ok, I don't know what I did wrong. I followed this recipe exactly, and my cookies came out flat! They came out of the oven in almost one giant crisp, having run together, and I had to use a knife to cut them apart. I'm so upset, I had to call my husband to vent! I was making this for my son's playdate tomorrow, but I guess I have to make some..."

    LinMarie says:

"I made this for thanksgiving this year, and we loved it! We couldn't finish everything (with all the other desserts available), but these bars were equally as good reheated for breakfast the next day (with a good cup of coffee)! I did make some adjustments: I used 1/4 cup less sugar (I usually do, just because I find most recipes too sweet for my ..."

    Reviewed Barb's Gumbo

     |  53 Reviews  |  By Barb Gertz
    LinMarie says:

"I've never made gumbo before, so I was wary about my husband's reaction to this one (he doesn't like spicy food). He raved about it! I improvised a bit here and there. I didn't have thyme and basil, so I added 1tsp of italian seasoning and 1tsp of Cajun seasoning. I used a whole can of corn (I love corn), and added shrimp, chicken and kielbasa..."

Reviewed Slow Cooker BBQ Short Ribs

     |  11 Reviews  |  By Annacia
    LinMarie says:

"This was very tasty, considering the small number of ingredients needed to make it. I sprinkled salt and pepper on the ribs and let it sit for 30 minutes prior to cooking. I also added a couple of teaspoons of minced garlic (I couldn't resist!). Very easy to make, and the ribs came out moist and tender. Will definitely make this again!"

    LinMarie says:

"My husband and I really liked this dish! I had to make a few adjustments though, because I did find it a tad too sweet initially. I added a bit more soy sauce and white wine. Next time, I'll probably cut down on the sugar. I heeded the suggestions of other reviewers and added some mushrooms (canned). Turned out great! Kinda reminded me of another ..."
