    About Me

A busy graduate student with a husband and a four-year old daughter. We try to be vegetarian/vegan, but it takes time and planning. We've started a new weekly menu idea where I cook three days and my husband cooks three days (one is leftovers). My favorite kitchen tools are my butane torch, my crock pot, and my garlic press. I study theatre critical studies and my husband studies film. My favorite cookbook(s) are The Food of India and The Food of Thailand, by Murdoch Books. They're beautiful as well as informative and yummy. I also love The Enchanted Broccoli Forest and The Vegetarian Way (which is more of an informative health book). Another great book is A New Diet for a Small Planet. A great discussion fo the many benefits of vegetarianism that also includes great recipes.

    Favorite Foods

sushi, dolmas, kalanga coconut soup, beans, anything with cilantro and/or garlic, anything my mom or dad makes. vegetables on their own terms.
My favorite restaurant is Wild Ginger in Seattle.
I make a great vegetarian chile, and a fabulous clam chowder.
