    About Me

    Hi everyone,

I am French Canadian from Quebec and new to this site. I now live in Banning, California. I like to cook and better yet, I love to bake for I have a sweet tooth. I don't have a favorite cookbook but I have an extensive collection of cookbooks and lots and lots of ever growing loose leaves recipes. I always find good recipes in every cookbook. Every week, I try at least 2-3 recipes from different sources. My other interests are crafts; decorative painting; furniture refinishing; sewing for the home; and home decorating.

My pet peeves no. 1-- is seeing people holding their utensils as if they want to stab their meat--the whole hand around the handle of the fork and knife-- and people who chew with their mouth open.

My new and recent peeve is that I don't know how to get to my main cookbook to read what I have saved, and also to get to the answer to my question from other participants. As you realize, I am not too savvy with computer.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite dessert is an orange cream cheese cake from a Pillsbury contest. It's really yummy! I am famous for my soups; red cabbage; sausages and sauerkraut; chili; a vegetable salad; bread baking; plum cake and crumb cake.

I hope you forgive me for I probably made mistakes in writing this blurb and will probably make more in the future since I am not too proficient in English.
