    About Me

I have re-learned a new way to cook and eat, after discovering that my 5 year old son's "illness" was actually food allergies. It was traumatic, and difficult, at first. Now I look at it as a challenge, and it's actually kind of fun - most of the time anyway. He is allergic to wheat, eggs, dairy, and peanuts.
Happiness is wanting what you have!!!!!

    Favorite Foods

My passion is making "normal" foods that children love, despite food allergies. So many simple foods that I once took for granted, became foods we longed for ... some examples are
Wonderful cheesy sauce (and it's good for you - low calorie, low cholesterol, low fat, and wonderful)
Ranch dressing (non-dairy) - my son told me he wants me to keep making his homemade, even when he's not allergic any more
White sauce - so simple, and really good. Finally, tuna casserole again
