    About Me

That is me holding the neighbor's Jack Russell I take care of occasionally. I have lived in the Puget Sound region of Western Washington all of my life. Growing up I watched my mother cook. To this day Sunday dinners are a big deal. We usually spend all day cooking. We recently did a kitchen makeover which included the addition of a very large island with a prep sink, a microwave drawer and a trash compactor.

I love to cook. Good thing my husband was very thin when he met me. My kitchen is well stocked with many kinds of seasonings and flavorings. I am one of those cooks that loves to create new dishes. The problem is that I don't write anything down. We rarely measure anything either. That is one reason I have never posted a recipe. I don't know the measurements, only approximations.

One of the most fun things I do is shop for food. Especially items that are considered "different". I love going to the local Asian market. I would rather spend $50 on a food shopping spree than on a clothes shopping spree.

My husband and I love to fish. We lake fish and primarily catch trout, bass and salmon.
We smoke the salmon and sometimes trout. So gooood!

My mother and I are always asked to prepare the family favorites at functions. These favorites are scalloped potatoes, coleslaw and potato salad.

I am a business owner. I have been selling online since 1995. We create and host our own stores. We also do product photography.

    Favorite Foods

Pho soup, taco salads, a good steak, homemade meatloaf, spring rolls, salsa, vegetables of all kinds, ham together with green beans and new potatoes. I am soup crazy! I love soups of all kinds. Favorites are Minestrone, Hamburger, 5 bean, Split-Pea, Chicken noodle. I will make a big pot and eat several days of it during my busy work schedule.
