"I made this in the crockpot last night and man did it make a lot!! I had to actually get a second crockpot out! I have a 6qt pot ( I think, it's the round one and so maybe you need the larger one, but either way it was good. I did make some changes as far as using low salt beans and tomatoes...and instead of spaghetti sauce, I used no salt tomato..."

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! I've been looking for the perfect Dutch buttercake recipe, and you had it!! Thanks so much for sharing. I got so excited to make it, I didn't look to see if I had almond extract, which I didn't, so I used Amaretto liquor instead, and it still came out fabulous. Only problem? I can't stop slicing off little slivers..."

"I agree with another viewer that it was too sweet with just the recommened amount of coffee. I made a pitcher of this for my husband and I and had it in the fridge for a day or two and seemed like it kept getting sweeter. I might try it with more coffee next time in hopes that it tames the sugar!! Thanks for the recipe though."

"This did taste very much like the bread at Macaroni Grill. The only thing I thought was different for me was the texture. My loaves rose very nicely while proofing, but didn't bake up very high in the oven. The texture was a little crumbly too, so I don't know if I did something wrong at the end or not. I did brush the tops with egg wash before ba..."
