    "This is my mother's recipe! I had no idea it came from the Fanny Farmer Cookbook, but I know she used it years ago. Probably when she was in high school; she graduated in 1924.Mother always added a layer of onions per layer of potato and warmed the milk before pouring it over the entire casserole."
