    "Used 1 lb. beef so cut the ingredients in half, but used a lot more seasoning, oregano and basil. Grind the bread in a mini food chopper for finer crumbs and moisten them with 2 tablespoons of milk. If you have fresh parsley, use it! Great basic recipe. I bake mine and get about 25 1 1/2" meatballs. Mama's sauce is also a great recipe."

    I've made this dish 4 times and it's wonderful. Forgot to mention that I did cut the amount of flour about in half.
    3 years later, I tried this with cooked turkey. Again wonderful. I make the sauce in the microwave and use 1/2 & 1/2 instead of milk and cream."

    "Used this recipe 3 times now. Made a few small changes. Used 4 large cloves of garlic. Deglazed the pan with red wine instead of water. Added parsley and fresh basil 30 minutes before the sauce was finished. My brother, who lives in Boston's North End, wants me to bottle it! Thanks Karen!"

    "I was leary of making this recipe. I always brown my meat. Threw caution to the wind and made this as pretty much as directed. Used only 1/2 the italian dressing. It wasn't too salty. Added onions, carrots and celery in the last 3 hours of cooking. Took the roast out and added a little instant potato flakes to thicken the gravy. Yummy!"

    "This was very good and so easy. I used medium heat salsa, kidney beans and added a tsp cumin and a tbls chili powder. I cut the recipe in half, except used the whole can of beans. Made enough for 3-4 servings. I served leftovers to a 2 year old and he gobbled it up! 4 stars for taste and 5 for ease of preperation!"
