"I was looking for a quick cacciatore so I didn't have to go to the store for all the bellpeppers. I had all of these ingredients on hand. After reading other reviews, I left out the broth and it wasn't runny at all. I did add oregano, thyme, and basil. Everyone loved it and it was quick and easy to make.

"This recipe has become a regular for all the parties and showers I host. Everyone loves it and I've given out this recipe so many times. I agree that it is best if made the night before. We just recently ate this on top of grilled tuna steak and grilled salmon. It was fabulous."

"This is a really good soup. I took the advice of others and added an extra vidalia onion. I do agree that 6 cups stock is not enough, the pasta soaked it all up. Next time I will add 2 extra cups of stock. I decided not to add any extra seasoning and it has a great flavor as is. I used very little olive oil and cheese in my recipe because we ..."

"I rated this a five even though my potatoes didn't turn out crispy. I tried to use less oil since I'm dieting. It had a wonderful flavor. There were no leftovers. "

"This is the first time I've ever had moussaka, but I knew we would love it b/c we love pastitsio. I used 2% milk and it was so good. We ate it by itself but next time we plan on making it more like pastitsio by adding penne pasta. I thought it was extemely easy to make. I didn't bake the eggplant as long as it said, b/c I checked it halfway th ..."

"I have not tried the original recipe b/c of the reviews. I made quite a few changes. I used 4 slices wheat bread and added 1/4 cup italian panko bread crumbs. I used olive oil and 1 1/2 tbs butter. I used 1 medium onion, 6 cloves of garlic and 2 large stalks of celery. I also used 12 oz of broccoli and peas, as well as 16 oz. of mushrooms. I ..."

"I made a homemade marinara sauce and served over smart taste pasta. It probably didn't even need the pasta because it was so full of flavor without it. I could only eat half of one mushroom cap and I am completely full. I probably put a little too much cheese to be completely healthy, but it was so worth it. We already decided we are having th ..."

"So easy and healthy. I like to use panko bread crumbs. I have sliced them with my mandoline but find they are too thin, so now I cut them thicker. I have made these at least 3 times a week since I found this recipe. "

"I tried the recipe exactly as is and definitely agreed that it lacked flavor. I am also not a big fan of wheat pasta. I decided to combine this recipe with Rachel Ray's That Shallotta Flavor Pasta. It was wonderful. I mixed in a tablespoon of butter with the olive oil and sauteed about 10 shallotts. I then added in my zucchini and garlic alon ..."

"I just recently started using Ellie's recipes and I have not been disappointed. I doubled the garlic and used a 15 oz. tomato sauce. I also added mushrooms. I was worried about the cottage cheese, but I'm so glad I decided to use it. I added italian seasoning also just b/c of the other reviews. Everyone loved it and my husband usually wants m ..."
