    About Me

I run a small technology company and love it. I am in the period of life where kids are leaving and I am finding more time to devote to cooking, my second love. My mother was my inspiration to cook. She was a gourmet chef, some training, but mostly self-taught, and spoiled us rotten with unbelievable meals fit for the cover of Gourmet magazine. As I was growing up. I was always eager to be her kitchen helper. I remember her spending hours preparing meals for dinner parties of twelve or more. Mom loved Julia Child, never held back on the butter or cream and lived by her quote, Always remember: If you're alone in the kitchen and you drop the lamb, you can always just pick it up. Who's going to know?

I, on the other hand, don't have the time to be anything more than a 30-minute Gourmet. I am always in search of wonderful recipes that are delicious and not time consuming. My husband is trying to lose weight so I am currently saving healthy, low-point weight watcher meals in my online cookbooks.
