    About Me

    I come from a large southern family, so food is second nature to me.  When we get together, we get to enjoy everyone's great cooking.

    I grew up in a military family, so for me, food also represents the incredible variety of cultures our world hosts.  I love to try out foods that are new to me.  Even growing up, we always ate a variety of foods both from our family recipes and from the cultures with whom we came into contact.

    Today, I am a fifth grade Language Arts teacher.  Creating a master piece in the kitchen is like creating a master piece in writing - it has to come from your heart!!

    Favorite Foods

    Seafood - shrimp, lobster, crab, you name it!!
    Italian - Pasta!!

    Maggiano's Little Italy in Jacksonville, Florida - now that's a great resturant.
