    About Me

Of Italian origin, I am 58 years old, I don?t believe in cook books but rather I enjoy recipes that are suggested by friends or recipes that are found on Recipe Zaar. I find that this is really the only way to enjoy good food suggested by real people who have enjoyed these foods.

I love foods of many nationalities. I have always been interested in new recipes. My opinion is that we are what we eat. It is my belief that great meals and great wines make happy people.

Some pet peeves are going to restaurants looking at a menu that suggests a certain meal and once make your choice and get your meal it doesn?t even come close to what it should be.
I hate restaurants that advertise a specialty but that they have no clue of what they are promoting.

Please enjoy my simple recipes for people who do not always have time to cook.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite dish being a true blue old timer Italian is naturally Pasta. Although the era of rich greasy sauces are well behind us, for all heath conscious people who are always on the run, there are other alternatives to great pasta dishes prepared in ony minutes.

I believe that there are many ways to enjoy a great plate of pasta that tastes great and that is healthy. Last year I went to Italy and was surprised to find that in 80% of the great restaurants in the Marche region of Italy they have moved away from the heavy sauces that our parents would brew for hours and the have moved to delicious simple dishes that are prepared in minutes and taste great.

My favorite restaurant is my kitchen, however when I do go out I always look for the little mamma and papa restaurant that have that homemade attitude. Homemade pastas, I believe, are always the best and always tastes the greatest. Look around in your area, for example in Montreal ?Pasta Casareccia 5849 Sherbrooke W Montreal? is a great little restaurant to eat pasta and although I find their prices a little pricy, I do believe that their pasta dishes tastes great, and if you are on the run you can always pick up some pasta to prepare at home.
