"I used my bread machine to make the dough, let it rise then punched it down to remove air bubbles and sprinkled cornmeal in the bottom of a greased loaf pan, put in the dough and let rise for another hour. I put an egg wash and sprinkled oatmeal on top before baking it in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. I made this loaf for a neighbor, so did..."

"Delicious! I modified this recipe because I had left-over COOKED steel cut oats from the day before. Instead of the 10T quick cook oatmeal, I used 1/2 c cooked steel cut oatmeal to the WET ingredients which gave them a nutty flavor. I also added a sprinkle of cinnamon to the batter."
