Was raised in NE Fla/ SE Ga. I've always been fascinated with food and cooking scince I was a young boy. I hung around Grandmothers, Aunts, Mom, Dad, Uncles, etc. to learn their ways. I've lived in FL, GA, SC, VA, TX, and for 16 years on the Front Range of Colorado. I drove semi trucks to 48 states and believe me, I rarely ate truck stop food. I searched every town for a restaurant or cuisine I'd never tried. I moved back home to South Georgia in 2009, home of the best shrimp in the world. I like to grow/ pick my own vegetables, fish for my own fish in fresh water and the ocean, and harvest Gods beautiful 4 legged animals for our family's table. I finally got to move to my native Florida in April 2012.
Most of my recipes are French, German or Southern USA so they tend to have lots of butter or some other 'terrible' thing that we shouldn't eat. Eat right, stay away from the diet 'aspertaine' stuff and get some sunshine and you'll be healthy! Garden, go fishing, go hunting...enjoy being the top of the food chain! Thank God for all this awesome food He has laid before you to just take and eat! And above all, have fun in the kitchen...it's just food. No one else cooked today, did they? Enjoy!
Southern, Japanese, German, Seafood, French, Italian, New England, a BBQ freak! My favorite 'fast food' is L&L Hawaiin BBQ. My favorite foods to cook are Modenese pork chops (Italian), and Rinder-rouladen (German). Living in the southeast, you know we fry a lot. I'm most 'famous' for my german food, french food, and any kind of sauce or gravy, and creme brulee. I'm also (finally) learning how to can. My favorite cookbook is the the quintessential cookbook of all time, "Mastering the art of french cooking" by Julia Child. My favorite restaurants are Berlin Cafe in downtown Denver,Co. Singletons seafood in Mayport (Jacksonville) Fl. Gasho of Japan, formerly of Greenwood village, Co. but still (I think) in business up on Long Island, NY, Aunt Catfishes in Pt Orange (Daytona), Fl. Those delicious, greasy cheeseburgers and fresh made shakes from *****'s (rhymes with Ricks, but food.com covers it up) Burgers in Seattle, Wa. And of course, anything Mom my brothers, cousins,or my niece makes

"(Schweinekoteletten mit senf oder meerrettich) A yummy braised German pork chop dish that is a perfect comfort food. It goes very well with mashed potatoes, red cabbage, a salad, and a good Reisling or Liebfraumilch. This is a dish you may find in a Continental restaurant."
