    Reviewed Cheesy Bacon Grits

"I made these for breakfast with plain scrambled eggs & fruit salad. If you use regular bacon I would suggest omitting the salt like I did. There's plenty of salt in the bacon & cheddar cheese. And I added little more milk & turned the heat down to low & simmered longer even though I used the quick grits. It allowed for a creamier texture."

    About Me

    Chef #1123672
I'm lucky enough to have parents who taught me to try & appreciate all kinds of foods from all over the world. I grew up in Terceira, Acores, Portugal most of my young life. I've been to Germany & England & a lot of the USA. My family, friends, & coworkers get to enjoy the "fruits of my labors" when it comes to my love of cooking. I'll pretty much try cooking or baking anything. And I have a propensity for collecting anything for the kitchen, so I'm "well armed", LOL. C'mon over to my house, Mi Bodega!!

    Favorite Foods

Mexican (traditional, not the junk), anything in the Hispanic and/or Caribbean genre; pretty cookies, cakes & pies; fresh fish; and my guilty pleasure... Hot Dogs!!
